The Annex Log Cabin Project: A Testament to Quality and Precision
The Log Cabin Store recently undertook an ambitious project in Birmingham. Our client's need was unique - she wanted her elderly father to move closer, and we rose to the occasion with a bespoke solution. The Annex Log Cabin, tailored to our client's specifications, was an ideal fit.
This custom-built log cabin measured 5.5m x 3.9m, and its height was kept under 2.5m to comply with planning rules. Our team meticulously worked on this project for about three weeks, ensuring each stage of the build was executed with precision.
Laying the Foundations and Building Up
The first step was laying the concrete base, the foundation of the cabin. Following this, we erected the cabin structure, focusing on stability and durability. We then installed all the essential pipework for water and waste connections, making sure the cabin would have all the necessary amenities.
Transforming the Cabin into a Home
The next phase was to make this log cabin feel like a home. We fitted a cosy kitchen and a practical shower room, carrying out all tiling work to ensure a polished finish.
But we didn't stop there. To provide extra comfort during the colder months, we installed underfloor heating and covered it with stylish laminate flooring.
Adding the Finishing Touches
Once the main construction and interior fitting were completed, we moved on to beautifying the cabin. Our team painted the cabin inside and out, choosing colours that complemented the natural wood and surroundings.
To enhance the outdoor space, our landscape gardeners laid slabs at the front of the cabin, creating a welcoming entrance.
For the electrical work, we collaborated with Central Electrical Services from Hinckley. Their expertise ensured all electrical systems in the cabin were safe and functional.
